Li He is Associate Professor in the School of Humanities & Social Science at Xi’an Jiaotong University. Dr. He obtained PhD in Geography at McMaster University in 2016. His recent research interests include Computational Social Sciences, Spatial Statistics and Spatial Analysis, Geography of Crime, Big Data in Social Sciences, Spatial Big Data, Geographic Information System (GIS), Urban Built Environment and Crime, Environmental Criminology, Criminal Sociology. He has published 17 SCI/SSCI papers, and has received research grants totaling about 1.03 million CNY from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Chinese Ministry of Education, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, Shaanxi Human Resources and Social Security Department, and several other sources. He holds an authorized national invention patent, and received the Outstanding Achievement Awards in Humanities and Social Sciences Research of Shaanxi Universities in 2021 and 2019. He currently serves as Director for the Center of Social Computing (CSC) at Xi’an Jiaotong University, research associate in the Center for Social Big Data Analysis Technology and Application in National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data Analytics, research associate in the Institute for Empirical Social Science Research (IESSR), research associate in the Institute of the "Belt and Road" Pilot Free Trade Zone. He also serves as secretary general for the Young Geographer Working Group (YGWG) of Asian Geographical Association (AGA), member of the Social Computing and Social Intelligence Committee (SCSIC) of the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), chairman of the Postdoctoral Association of International Postdoctoral Exchange Fellowship Program (Talent-Introduction Program). He sits on the editorial board for the journal Frontiers in Sustainable Cities, and serves as review editor. He also serves asreviewers for over 20 leading international scientific journals.
